Hmm.. ohhh… I’m watching youuuuuuuuuuu. Heh. Hello. I am one part of DeafJoke.TV team. I want to follow up with you with some of different sections.
First of all, I want to thank every one of you that you visited our site frequently to make you enjoyable to have funny and hilarious.
Now, remember this is not easy to find good deaf videos / pictures related to different topics of ASL stories, jokes, originally, innovate, comic strips, etc. Okay, If you find any of good joke/story and maybe this meet our quality [guidelines] to put this in our DeafJoke.TV site, please send this reference to our email, info@deafjoke.tv, we can post this in DeafJoke.TV site.
Now, take a look at hard part for one of you to post a comment here, that is fine with me, I like it also. But, remember some of people who make video, trying to be funny and good, able to do it. For example, one of woman who send her video, we thought it was funny and good story, so we posted this video in DeafJoke.TV in one or two months ago. Then, some of visitors saw the woman performed in the video, the visitor probably does not like or probably disagree, different reasons — that is fine with me. But, we do have our own problem with visitors who said horrible things – I am not talking about cussing. I am taking about insulting like – ‘you are lousy’, ‘move on’, ‘you are getting F on your grade’, several different things to say.
Do you know what happened? Some of the people who created the video, decided to remove their video. Do you know why? Because of, they are very sensitive — maybe I do not know, too sensitive and upset, when you make the bad comments trying not be gentle, please do not. We will have a right to remove some of few bad comments such as offensive words. We are getting tired and get enough of this. If you continue doing this, we will remove this bad comments. This is simple job for us.
Anyway, I am forwarding the more different topic of funny / story on video for you to enjoy on our site, and best of all, it’s free. We worked hard ourselves to find more good stuff to show you next time.

The reason is we are doing our time to remove few negative comments in DeafJoke.TV entry. The general about negative comments spark from the commenter saying discouraging, rude & offensive attitude, backstabbing comments, we have our authority to make the decision to disapprove the inappropriate comments in DeafJoke.TV. Leaving the inappropriate, negative comments is not necessary.
The result is the video performance actor/actress might be sensitive, can hurt their feelings or upsetting, they might asked to pull their performance out from our DeafJoke.TV entries. It could cause the visitor miss to view their performance, and could pressure our team lot of questions how/what/why this situation happened.
We only can approve the commenter post their positive feedback, ideas, opinions, or constructive feedback rather than negative comments.

Thank you for a nice, kind way of asking other people to be more polite and kind to others. I read so many negative, mean comments before and I felt so bad. People that put up jokes, stories, and other stuff on deafjoke.tv have courage for showing some of themselves to the world. I was very amazed at the conceited, condescending, and just downright rude remarks made by other people. My thought is: “If you can’t say anything nice…don’t say anything at all.”

I am just suggestion: What do you think about to change the website, like..”deaf’s-stories&joke.tv” That means can be eithers, Deaf’s stories and Deaf’s Joke, too! I admit, sometimes my thought like, Is it really joke or real stories? I know that I sometimes can tell either one but for others may not! I am just suggestion…Thank you! Keep it up! Two Thumbs up!!
He’s right. I know there is a freedom of speech, but he is considerate of the others and has the right not to input your inappropriate comments. I respect that. I have made a few comments on a few other jokes and have noticed a couple of my comments not input. I found that strange and knew that my comments got to the point reasonably. I would appreciate his explanation. He has my e-mail address when I registered. Thank you.

I enjoy watching it everday and I repeatedly watch it again.
I stand up and wave my hands to all of the people who send in the videos.
No matter if it is good or bad. It is still entertaining. The people are trying
to show us that they are entertainers. Some are and some are not but they
got guts to do it. Just keep sending them in and keep us laughing, crying or
puzzled. It is still DEAF ENTERTAINMENT. (((hands waving)))))
I deffo agree with him, saying harsh way is not going to help us improve to make our world much funnier. Feedback in supportive way will boost up our DeafJoke to be the most funnier, funniest one on any site ever. It just need some time to adjust and learn several ways to improve, BE PATIENCE!! I know I have left many many comments (I put my effort to say positive comments or supportive) in deaf videos, blogs, and vlogs. If I have posted something sensitive that may attack you, I am so sorry for that. As I leave comments, I see that I start to improve myself with how I say in every comments I left. I realize it is easier to leave comment on how you feel instead of insulting the others.

Hello Deaf Joke, I think the message you have provided is sound and of good judgement. To place comments on a deaf joke that you view, I think also that we have a right to make such comment as to agree or disagree with what we see; But it does not have to be an insult or put down comments. So from now on, I do hope people who post their comments will do so in a nice way. If we see something we think is not so funny, then comment on it and maybe that person will learn and become a better joke presenter.

I agree with you but those people who put their jokes or stories should know the risk they will getting from feedback, they must prepare for that. If I was in your shoe, the feedback is only their opnion and nothing fact. Word can not hurt me cuz I dont bleed from those insult word. Keep up with jokes and stories, really enjoying very much. have wow day.

We faced all different kinds of insults or hurt by someone like FREEDOM of Speech but we should respect to those people who has the different idea too. I appreicate that Deaf Joke Tv is letting us know that they make good judgement what to show or not to show video. As it said it is free and we should all enjoy it no matter what. I suggest you if you don’t like then don’t post anything badly. If you like it or suggest good idea or something let us know.

Yes I have seen some of them insult It’s not necessary If anyone dislike the asl story or Deafjoke It’s simple to not watch it again My comments for these deafjokes is high positive I always enjoy any kind of deafjokes becuz I come from deaf family Thumbs up wink!
Yeah I agree totally. Sometimes when I dislike one of the videoes, I make a honest opinion. It may be helpful to anyone who make the video, but it may not be for anyone who takes it too hard. I only make opinions, but no insults at all.

It is nice of your comments to make the others to beware of the others’ people thoughts & feelings as we all are human beings with craziness to senstiblity minds. There are few of them I dislike and it is wise to say nothing also not to watch it again. Have found this Deaf Jokes is wonderful for my teaching materials. Also, wondering if I could creates some jokes in AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language to send you to put them in the Deaf Jokes pages?
I have noticed there are some jokes are similar to our but you have them in ASL and would you like to have it in AUSLAN as well?
Please get back to me so that I could start creating video clips from friends to you.

I believe in free speech, even offensive speech – but not stupid speech. If you think something is lousy, explain why. Otherwise, your comment doesn’t help anyone; it only shows how ignorant you are.
I have a challenge for everyone who watches ASL videos: Next time you’re tempted to say something short and simple-minded like, “boring!”, “lousy!”, or “move on”, replace it with an intelligent explanation that makes people think and improve.
If you can’t do that, then your own comments are boring, lousy, and you should move on.

Question for everybody. Does anybody know the joke of the blind man, the paralyzed man and the deaf man? It is very funny.
Again I will say, we will need two tables, one of ASL and one of other Sign Languages and put two tables together, it will be one long one containing all means of Sign Languages together for each national intrpreters and become open for everyone to learn
to say “Love” and be comfortable with each others no matter where. We can express in Sign languages of our own.

I agree with y’all – respect, ASL values, Deafies get in touch with each other via DeafJoke.TV, the confidence of those that put up their vids, etc. I felt bad when I read the nasty comments as well. Like one of the comments above mentioned – if you don’t like it, then don’t say anything at all! The Deaf Community is quite small compared to the Hearing community, so let’s try to keep things simple and friendly to develop a better community!

I really appreciated that you explained to everyone to be nice. Yes, I do agree with you 100%. I know some people do have very good sense of humor and some do have very dry sense of humor, but so what?? NO ONE are perfect!!!!!!!!!! We need good laughs. Gosh, so many comments were pretty mean and harsh. If you like so much, just send nice message. If you hate this video, just shut up. (I’m sorry for saying that since after I read some comments and did ruin my moods and others). Be careful what you say and you would be real surprised. Think hard before you say something and please be nice, again!! Hey, people who were in videos, we really thanked you all for sharing with us and knew how to make us laugh. Don’t give up, please!!! Thank you, guy for sending the message to all of us.
If you want to say hurtful and hateful things, go post your silly comments on YouTube – they don’t have the guts to remove inappropriate comments.
I really appreciate Grant Laird, Jr. posting these videos to help me learn better to read ASL and to finally learn the birth language I should have learned as a “deafie pretending to be hearie” … and frankly, one of the reasons my sign language is bad, is because of many hurtful comments in the years and years prior to the Internet and websites like Grant’s website. Many deafies picked on me for being “too hearing”, and my hearing parents, family, friends didn’t want me to learn ASL. Many of you, if truthful, will tell me privately they experienced same things and they also struggle with learning ASL.
So be kind. If a video is not “funny” to you, then just say “it’s not my taste” or “it’s not my favorite kind of humor” – don’t have to trash it and tell them they got an F for their effort or some horrible discouraging thing like that. Think about it – do you like it when people make fun of your efforts to do something you are not skilled in?? Maybe you are skilled in ASL – if so, great!! But maybe people make fun of you because of poor English skills, or maybe because you can’t read well, or maybe you can’t cook well? It can be anything – but do you like it when people attack your efforts to improve?
Remember “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” – the Golden Rule – it means, treat people as nicely and encouragingly as you would want them to treat you. If you think people are being bad and hurtful to you – stop! maybe you don’t realize how much you are being bad and doing hurtful things to others?? You have to STOP and go the other way, and eventually when you start treating people nice, people will finally believe you and begin to treat you nice.
I agreement with you. That is part of life for deaf joke to make people to be happy and laughing… Thats all I like for them to be happy than being mad or depressing.

I am behind you 100% about insults, and “move on!” which is unnecessary for us as we are on same of ASL.. The deafjoke.tv is the best bet for us all deafies to enjoy, and need laughs to strenght ourselves, and health.. The insults make things worse, depression, and none of interests in us.. It could lost an opporunity to watch something interesting that we never know it is there!.. Come on!.. Enjoy any funny, no matter how small, or big joke ever make!.. I encourage anyone to continue on deaf jokes to break our stomachs with huge laughs to heal our sorrows in the hearing world!.. Finally someone pay attention to this insenitive words that hurt their feelings. I didnt like what some comments were made especially when someone put their efforts and time into making the video. It does say “Please be nice and respect ecah other. No slander or cussing allowed.” I was pretty disappointed that the viewers didnt have any respect for this blogs and just went ahead and do it anyway. tsk tsk tsk Well lets just hope this time we pay attention to what’s being said on here and screen each blogs carefully.
