Unless if she could be impersonating as Ms. Ray Charles.
I say this is rather tacky.

No i dont think she is blind but she did a great job. Great Story
Terrific story! Coco is talented and should come up with more ABC stories! For all readers, like most deaf-blind people, Coco grew up Deaf first and that’s where her excellent ASL and expressiveness comes in. Most Deaf-Blind lose their vision later in life –in the teens and adulthood– from Usher’s Syndrome. They still prefer to stay in the Deaf community throughout life. Hand waving, Coco!
Is Coco really a blind woman? Hmmmm. But I noticed and figured that she is looking at a webcam with a pair of big sunglasses and her normal eyes as if she is pretending to be a blind. I can tell.

People, she is deafblind. She has Usher’s and she is a better leader than most “just deaf” folks out there. Why does it matter though if she is blind or not? She told a story. If I told a story about a priest in a deaf school, do I need to be a priest or need to have attended a deaf school to be qualified to tell it? No. Anyways, C. R. is one of the most amazing deafblind women I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.

My friend Ona sent me the link to you story. She is deaf blind too. I think ASL is amazing. I love it. It makes me see the world differently. It is poetry and drama. It is so alive.
Thank you so much,

Hey… Christine here. Yep, the “deafblind” chick.
To clear up some questions, YES I am legally blind, with some vision left. I have Usher Syndrome. I don’t appreciate some of you calling me a liar, or a fake. This came from my heart.
Some of you are really discouraging, saying some rude words, why would you want to discourage a person from expressing their art? I find comfort in expressing ASL, whether it is a joke, or an art, and if you don’t like it, then give me constructive feedback rather than being rude and telling me that it was a lousy video.
As for the “O”, I did sign O, as the sun blinding my eyes, but the webcam didn’t get it, my hands were out of the range. Sorry about that.
Thank you, CyanSquirrel, my #1 fan
I just want to educate as many people out there about Deaf Blindness.
By the way, to the very first commenter who said this is for Deaf Jokes only.. didn’t you get the first word in DeafBlind? I’m deaf, too, you idiot. I am not hearing.
anyway, to those who were positive and given me constructive feedback which I shall take into consideration:
tactile love.
Coco/Christine
Great story – I remember me doing a story with ABC while on camp some fifteen years ago, only difference would be that we were allowed to use only our thumb and index finger (as in shooting etc.) – or some other fingers we were told to use. That was fun and taxed our creativity!
Keep doing your stories, and keep us happy
