I love this song. I have sign songs a lot of time for church. A lot of action signing songs. What I watched on this too many limits of PSE/ASL especially finger spellings too much. See yourself on this video if you know what I mean…

Enjoyed the ASL “song” But wish he had a little more rythm to it. Would have been lots better then showing the rythm of the song. Can’t hear but used to so know music and the rythms.
This song is good but yes, it’s boring. Wish an ASL interpreter can signing a song of Celine Dion, a famous singer, at the same time as Celine sings. Celine sings so beautifully.

He didnt use PSE he used S.E.E how is it boring to you? Unless I understand what he says. Im sure You understood him. Can you just be proud for what he’s doing for deafies to enjoy music. He was just following what excalty the song was saying . I hope you find that in your heart!

yes it isn’t ASL but it is enjoyable, mostly cuz this guy was pretty out there for the 80’s. He had fun and tried to share his love of the song with his language. OK so it isn’t ASL but back then he was trying to do it to show all the folks who watched his special language. I applaud him.
It was no dance with body movement. He just stood so stiff.just hands singing. It would be better if he dances and signs little wider and smiles more and more little loose.

Love the song in English…but your translation is way off…it is not even close to ASL. For the record, there is no true ASL song based on English song. ASL song/poetry is created in original format from the perspective of Deaf culture, about Deaf culture, for Deaf culture. Can be thematic (romance, fantasy, fictional, bio, etc). I can relate to your love of songs tho: America, Styx, Seger, Neil Diamond, etc. % ^ )

Aha!! You call that an ASL song, haha! That person is insulting true Deaf people’s intelligence! No prosodic features there. ASL is not all about quoting a song verbatim (translating word by word into signs).

Is he trying to make fun of the fact that it is not ASL and that a lot of people think ASL is Signing English? The song is good but the signing is not ASL. I encourage you to go ahead and sign it in ASL. I know it will be beautiful and true to the message. “Turning the page”,the song does not mean to literally turn the page.. Got my point! No truth when signed in English!

I watch D-pan that is song Beautiful that my fell is serious not joke. Beautiful is fell and mind for deaf and some whom have problem. I think need more sign of sogn will good for deaf feeling and mature in mind. So I am wish Jehovah Withess’s song with sign language. That my pray praised for God. Help me.
