Can’t find the right words to say cuz you blow my fook mind. Amazing is all I can said! Way to go, JON
Jon, I’m a video-movie-filmmaking-O-phile. My Deaf sense of humor has been sharply honed by my past 13 years. Let’s say I am a Deaf Elitist born deaf in the Elitist Hearing World. I am lucky to have my mother who was a very pro active and empathic Deaf Rights Advocate. She was feared by greedy relatives and respected by powerful wealthy political professionals from all walks of life in Columbus, Georgia. They all did business with her. She had two kids. Me and my older HEARING half-brother who was more of a PR than a business man with a drinking problem but nobody dared cross him because he was “generous” with money. His favorite words were, ” Money Talks “. He hated my father. My father was his stepfather. We both have the same mother and different fathers. My brother, David, couldn’t pick on his stepfather so he picked on me because he was 9 years older and BIGGER than me. I was not a tattleteller. He liked that because it made him pick on me more. I expected him to outgrow the stupid sibling jealousy rivalry or whatever but no,,,he never outgrew it. He hated me. For real. there was no sister and brother relationship between us. But because we are elitists and elitists don’t talk about our personal problems outside the home. My brother liked that, too. He told everybody because I am deaf, I got mental problems. Elitists are audists, too, and they don’t know they are audists. They argue. They love to argue, they think they know everything because they got so much money they went to Harvard, Yale, and Oxford, they think they know everything there is to know suddenly they are confronted by my brother who said, ” My sister is deaf. She’s got mental problems.” This stunned professionals of Law and Financings because they don’t know jack ________ about deafness and their pride is so bloated, they swallowed their ignorance and agreed with my brother like they know everything there is to know everything about DEAFNESS. They shoved me aside. When I spoke up, they labeled me cognizant disabled big mouthed troublemaker who should be locked in a psychatric ward. I don’t know what my brother said to make them so mean and unafraid to break the laws and discriminated against me at full force. I found myself locking horns with them and that only made them angrier because I’m just a deaf female high school graduate who dare question them-college educated HEARING smart men. Suddenly I found myself political. I am on the right track. I am an artist and actress. Profile at http://journals.aol.com/wandadaxx1/audism. I went to National Theatre of the Deaf summer workshop in 1982. Best time in my lifetime. WOwweeee! Then I landed a leading lady role as Sarah Normans in Children of a lesser god at the Springer Opera Theatre’s broadway play in 1984. In 1994 my mother died without a warning and my brother took over easily because he was HEARING. my father? He was deaf. Columbus, Georgia is deaf unfriendly user without my mother as a local champion for Deaf People. She is dead. David took over and the city became a medieval Dark Ages era for Deaf people like me. Because I am an elitist already inside, I know everything. They don’t like it because I know them too much. This is one advantage I have that most Deaf People don’t have. I took the risk because I lost everything before my mother was buried. They already put me on the street. Tacky people. None of them offered their sympathy. They ignored me like I wasn’t there because my brother told them a lie they stupidly believed. He told them I told him to tell them to stay away from me. Relatives? they were motivated by greed and they took David’s side, of course. I had nothing to lose so I went after them and my mother’s redcoat traitor lawyer Attorney Larry Taylor. I’m still after them today. It took Blacks hundreds of years to abolish racism. That is why I am not put off by the fact it is the 13th year now. Anyway enough of this. The reason I m writing to you because I was wowed by your special effects, too, besides your acting. Then I was bowled over when you answered one of the viewer’s question about movie editing software…iMovie Mac. Oh boy!!! Me, too. Me,too. I bought Mac G5 in 2003. Everybody looked at me like a wierdo. I didn’t care. I saved money for years and years and years and finally bought this Mac G5 and a Sony DVD camera in 2003. Why? Because it’s my lifetime passion. Nobody where I live cares about show business and documentary. It’s Columbus, Georgia, not Hollywood,CA, and not Atlanta, GA. I just finished a political documentary showing Deaf people at Georgia School for the Deaf rallying for Gally Protest and added a bit of my “George Orwellian Era War Zone” experience to it. It’s just a beginning. I have to soften the blow because I am making copies of it and giving it to bunch of students at Columbus University who is sponsored by people I grew up with and hung around with before they overthrew me and bastardized me and threw me to the streets. LIttle did they realize my mother already prepared me my whole life that if I got overthrown, her sleeper inside me will be activated. She is dead but she’s come back from the grave inside my body.
My film will be seen by the same people who overthrew me and exiled me from the Elitist Class in May 1994.
You must have the full edition of iMovie because mine don’t have all the special effects you have. All this war with rich people ( they own a bank in Columbus, Georgia, too, and they put their bank in the same boxing ring with me in 1998, daring me to knock down the bank first. It took me four years to find a lawyer from another town, 3 hours away. Lawyers in Columbus, Georgia are making fun of the lawyer I hired because he is not a local. My debts is huge. I live like middle class lives. I go without electricity for a month or two. It was three months without electricity, water and phone from October to Dec and I finally turned them back on in January, 2007. They destroyed my trustfunds that my mother set up in 1994. they destroyed my job with my mother’s construction company one month after she was buried. They defamed me so people wouldn’;t have anything t o do with me. They are easily scared by what they don’t understand and they don’t understand Deafness. They really do think I’m crazy. they took everything away from me except my home that my parents put my name on in 1993. They tried to steal it from me and my Deaf father got outraged and got involved and succeeded in stopping them from taking away my home then he died June 1996. My home is all that’s left of my ravaged chaotic life that has been chaotic since my mother died. It’s a war only Deaf people like me live with. HEARING people don’t feel it because they are not DEAF. they think we are immature and babies who refuses to grow up and face life like “everyone else”. The words, “Like everyone else” really gets under my skin. Anyway I say all this because they punish me financially intent on breaking me to shut me up and to quit “pestering” them with questions I have a Right to ask them. I couldn’t afford the full edition of iMovie Software. It drives me crazy to be stuck with limited edition of iMovie but I LIKE it! Glad to see there’s someone like me out there, you and your Mac. Deaf and Mac and iMovie. My deaf sense of humor is intact. Hope to get a response from you. It sure would be nice to communicate with someone who shares one thing in common or two.
